beginner finance books

I believe the following to be the best beginner finance books to help you achieve financial security in your life. They all include small habits that are realistic for people to help build financial wealth.

It is an overwhelming concept to think about getting yourself out of the pay cheque to pay cheque cycle, or even think about where to start. Maybe you’re in a spot in your life where you’re ready to learn more about finances and take control. I wanted to share what I think are some of the best beginner finance books. Financial security is a huge value to me as an adult. Initially I thought that making good financial decisions meant giving up the small things I enjoyed (goodbye coffee and take out). I had debt from nursing school, a line of credit, and maxed out credit cards. My husband and I wanted to buy a house and start building equity. I needed to stop being irresponsible with my money.

I learned that it isn’t about giving up what you enjoy but BALANCE. Not spending more than you have coming in. I started seeing a financial planner who recommended some books to me. This led me on a financial reading tangent and fully immersed myself in learning how to make good financial decisions. I went through many finance books and half of them I didn’t find useful in that moment as a beginner.

Today I want to share the best beginner finance books I found most helpful. Now, I am able to manage my finances and have my money work for me. If I want something I buy it without any guilty feelings. I paid for specialty education while paying off debt, and I was able to pay for graduate school on my own. I also have a different mindset about money and what I need versus want.

Here I share some books that helped me when I first got started taking control of my finances. If you’re a beginner who doesn’t know where to start, this list is for you.
