Let us take a moment to shout out the blogs that take up most of my screen time. I am old school and mostly love reading blogs rather than watching short videos on Tik Tok. Lets be real, I don’t even have Tick Tok. Whoops did I just date myself! These are what I think are the best blogs to follow for content on lifestyle, blogging, and make-up!

When I do go searching the web, there are a few blogs I consistently go back to that really capture my attention and add value to my day and life. When I am up in the night breastfeeding I am looking for content that fits my lifestyle or goals I have for myself, I find this motivates me to stay on track. These mostly relate to health and fitness, blogging, and female empowerment. Of course, I cannot leave out my favorite make-up gal who is so authentic it’s contagious. Here are my favorite blogs to read while I’m sipping my morning coffee, taking a break at work, or more recently while breastfeeding my newborn.

I also like to listen to podcasts if any of these writers have one. See this post for the best podcasts!

Girlboss

This is a space that strives to support other women with their ambitions, hopes, dreams, and goals. There is a focus on inclusion and female empowerment. One of the foci of the blog is on women in the workplace, which I absolutely love! I always feel empowered after spending some time on this site, specifically with achieving my own career goals, educating myself on issues females face in the business world, and honestly, I come away humbled by the powerful women out there in the world kicking ass and taking names. I subscribe to their newsletter which accompanies my morning coffee, putting me in the mood to be productive and feel like I can do anything! What better feeling to have with an online community?

The Wellness Mama

This is my favorite health and wellness website. I very much relate to Katie and her journey with thyroid issues, fertility, and healthy home values. The variety of guests she hosts on her podcast gave me the opportunity to learn so much about my own body and health needs, especially related to the relationship between thyroid health, your gut microbiome, and fertility. I love the natural living topics she covers within her blog which get me feeling crafty and happier about the choices I make when bringing things into my home and space.

Fit Mission Make Up

I love Jocelyn’s blog for makeup tips, and hair styling. I do admit, I spend more time on her YouTube channel than her blog as I watch her tutorials and hair styling techniques. Jocelyn and I have a similar hairstyle and I love how she styles her hair while also valuing taking care of her hair. I spend the most time on this site reading about makeup tips. I have been using cream-based makeup for a while (when I do wear makeup) and love how it feels on my face. Jocelyn has so many amazing tips for under-eye makeup and aging skin. I used to wear mineral-based makeup because it was “healthiest” for my face but I didn’t like the coverage.

Catherin Manning

When I first started thinking about starting a blog I found Catherin. I thought she was fun and real about the blogging world. She has since moved onto Youtube but I learned a lot from her about blogging and starting out. She’s a great place to go for beginner bloggers. Since my blog is more of a hobby I found her more chill than a lot of the other creators out there. I am not looking to create something massive from my blog and Catherine had a lot of content on just starting out.

By Sophia Lee

I found Sophia looking at blogging videos on Youtube. She also has content on decorating and lifestyle which really brought me into her site and blog. I find her interior decorating amazing and I love the vibe she brings to the spaces she creates. She gives helpful tips on decorating while on a budget and really… who doesn’t love some decor steals for cheap. She is real with her readers and audience and also has content for beginner and experienced bloggers. Her audience is geared to those in college and this is NOT me but I find it interesting as I am a college teacher and I am obsessed with anything school related.

These are the 5 blogs I visit the most and that actually add value to my life. I think these are the best blogs to follow for makeup, lifestyle, and blogging content. As I write this, I feel inspired and hopeful, excited for upcoming projects. Are there any blogs that you return to, or leave you feeling inspired? Share below, I am always looking for more!

Anna-Lisa
